Hiding acne as a teenager
I am sure everyone has a story about the first time they had a blemish, this is mine
My makeup journey has definitely been an interesting one. I remember the first "makeup" product I ever used... Clearasil tinted acne cream. I remember waking up in the 7th grade to what I thought was the worst breakout of my entire life. I was nervous to go to school and scrambled in the morning to find a solution. After digging though my parents bathroom drawers, I found Clearsil. I thought this would solve all my problems.. I put some of the moisturizer on my pimple and soon went to school. I weirdly felt protected having this spot so called covered. I will never forget being at recess and this boy saying to me, I think you have dirt on your face. I was mortified. I went home and had my mom take me to Sephora. Don't get me wrong this product is great, but I had no idea you needed to match your skins color, blend and apply properly and find something that actually works for you to benefit from makeup. When I went to Sephora, I discovered a forever makeup staple, Nars Concealer. I found the exact color to my skin, bought several brushes and was ready to go. Buying this product, helped me feel good in my skin, despite the new changes in acne on my face.
The Nars Concealer was great because it didn't make be break out more. I would wear it to school and when I would come home take it off and clean my face. There is power in beauty products and this is one of them. Go check this product out here and read some of our reviews on the app.
